You can use the MyGov.be app to quickly and securely log in to public websites and applications. So with MyGov.be you not only have your eBox and important personal documents withing reach, but also a secure personal digital key.

To use MyGov.be as a key, you must first successfully install and activate the app on your devices.

On your device without MyGov.be (computer, laptop or tablet)

1. On the login screen, select MyGov.be.
2. A QR code appears.
3. Go to the MyGov.be app on your phone.
4. Choose the 'Scan' button.
5. Scan the QR code on the login screen.
6. Confirm that you want to log in and enter your pincode.
7. You are now logged in.

On your device with MyGov.be (phone)

1. On the login screen, select MyGov.be.
2. The MyGov.be app on your phone opens automatically.
3. Confirm that you want to log in and enter your pincode.
4. You are now logged in.

Apparently, there are multiple web browsers active on your phone. This means that the request to use the key (from the login screen) is sent from one browser and the response to this request (sent by MyGov.be) arrives in another browser. If request and answer are not processed in the same browser, an error message occurs.

How can you solve this? Check your phone settings to see which default browser is active and, if necessary, change it to your preferred browser. Then use the default browser to log in.   

If you are using another browser than the default browser on your phone, then it is possible that this browser is unable to connect to the MyGov.be app (on the login screen) and that it is unable to find the app. Especially browsers that are heavily privacy-oriented will not always support this connection.

You can solve this by using the default browser on your phone. It is best that you (temporarily) adapt the default browser settings, otherwise the app MyGov.be will address the wrong browser, see also 'After entering my pincode in MyGov.be I get the message that something went wrong'.
